@JohnCleese @rapwest We have a society with no consequences! I don't condone violence but parents can't even threaten their kids with a smack. Kids are not punished in school and police won't arrest drug users or dealers! If there is no punishment for crime, crime raises!

In the UK 🇬🇧 - David Lammy announced that people under 17 caught carrying a knife will no longer be prosecuted. They will instead be referred to youth justice services by police in an attempt to help them 'change course'. This is absolutely ridiculous. David Lammy is dangerous.

The current state of the Royal Navy: 2 aircraft carriers — neither operational. 6 Type 45 destroyers (our most powerful warships) — one operational (in Cyprus). 7 Type 23 frigates (less powerful, much older) — three operational 5 Astute class nuke-powered subs — one operational (in Arabian Sea?). Surely those responsible for this appalling state of unreadiness (a national embarrassment if ever there was one)— political, civilian and military — should be fired/charged. Their incompetence has effectively left us without a navy. Quite an achievement for an ancient island nation.

I worked for 32 years but when I retired you needed 40 years for a full pension so I did not qualify. Now a person who has never worked but has 35 years of credits through benefits will get a full state pension.

Ghana really is pulling a fast one aren’t they? First they got paid for all the slaves they sold (until Britain stopped them) and now they want to get paid compensation for the existence of slavery by the people who stopped them doing it. Anybody in Parliament who even hints at “reparations” is in my mind a straight up traitor. I, a taxpayer, don’t owe foreign scammers a penny.
