Some people are really sensitive. "Film theory" has a place, but it's went off the fucking rails the past 10-15 years. Ultimately, it's self serving for little film cliques. It's also possible to read something and not respond.

I think the further away you can keep "film twitter" from contributing to these releases with their "theories", the better! Let's stick to those involved with the production and actual film historians and professionals!

The one that feels the truest to the spirit of what Carpenter envisioned for Halloween as an anthological story. Halloween is just a conduit for some amorphous evil that takes many “shapes”

@hashjenni It is easy to cite these specific ones as examples where it’s just easier to identify the person. Kamala is a more identifiable name than Harris, Hillary shares last name with Bill so its better to single out which one. We did it with Bernie too. Nobody called him Sanders.
