There is nothing more dangerous than partial information. Walk with me as I expose: Why Joe Kent probably DIDN’T know the full Iran threat 1. His job was only one small slice of the pie Think of the U.S. government like a huge restaurant kitchen. Joe Kent ran the “counterterrorism station.” That means he only handled stuff about terrorist groups (like the ones Iran pays to attack people). But Iran has other dangerous stuff too. Missiles. Nuclear program. Army moves. Secret plans. Those go to different teams. The terrorism boss doesn’t automatically get told about the missile or nuclear parts. 2. Secrets are locked up on a “need-to-know” basis The government doesn’t tell everyone everything. That would be dangerous. It’s like: the person making the pizza doesn’t get the full recipe for the secret sauce. Even top people only see the pieces they absolutely need for their job. Joe Kent saw the terrorism slice about Iran. He did NOT automatically see the full picture the President and top generals were looking at. 3. The White House literally kicked him out of the important meetings Here’s the killer detail most people don’t know: Weeks or even months before he quit, the White House stopped letting him into the super secret meetings about Iran. Why? Senior officials said he was “a known leaker.” They were worried he was spilling secrets. A White House official confirmed it. Speaker of the House Mike Johnson even said out loud: “He wasn’t in those briefings, clearly.” So when Joe Kent wrote his resignation letter saying “Iran is no threat,” he was working with old, incomplete, or cut-off information. The people who decided to act had the full, current picture he no longer had. Bottom Line: Joe Kent only ran the terrorism part of the government, not the whole Iran file. Plus, the White House had already banned him from the secret meetings because they thought he was leaking. So when he said "no imminent threat" he literally didn’t have the same information the President did. It’s not that he was lying.
