Issue is when you run a club on fear based leadership and short term thinking you’re fucked when you take the figure heads away as there is no infrastructure and no systems. …you’re relying on individuals to make it work. This is why Roman Abramovich’s leadership should be objectively questioned and praised/criticised accordingly rather than unanimous rose ringed glasses. United has the same issue when they removed Gill and Ferguson. It’s like buying a house that looks incredible. Then finding out it has no foundations. Got to tear that shit down and start again otherwise the entire thing will collapse… Not what people want. But it is what is needed for the long term greater good of the club imo.

I genuinely think we’re paying for years of bad karma from Abramovich He single handedly morphed footballing culture to sacking managers for basically any bad form and the amount of clubs that have foolishly followed suit and ruined careers amounts to extortionate bad karma

@objective_cfc Unrelated but I actually don’t think you’re objective, reading your posts they’re incredibly biased towards a Clearlake standpoint

Let me counter you… If I write Clearlake’s name down on a piece of paper - you could right 10 postive things and 10 negative things about them Same with Roman? I can, I can then formulate and opinion as is approach is better for the long term greater good of Chelsea on and off the pitch ..and then more importantly, I’m open to changing my mind and holding my hands up if is.

@objective_cfc That may be true, you do obviously think about what you say and aren’t reactionary which is great. But ambition probably the most important thing for an ownership, you write that for Roman, but not for this one. Which I think is massive

Roman and Clearlake have different models to success. It’s the tortoise and the hare analogy imo. The tortoise actually wins the race. It’s not meant to bring immediate success but it is meant to ultimately bring more success than Roman managed. Only way you’ll be able to tell is by giving them the same period of time - 15 years at a minimum Main issue at the moment is fans are used to immediate results because they’re used to Romans approach = intense pain. Fundamentally, they’re used to the hare doing off a million miles an hour 😅

@objective_cfc You’d be right if the expenditure wasn’t so high, turn over of managers, signing truly awful players in certain positions. You’ve obviously fell for their propaganda which is easy to do. Newcastle ownership took them from fighting relegation to jousting for UCL spots quickly

@objective_cfc Clearlake took over an already top 4 team and with mass amounts of money spent they are even struggling to maintain that. No excusing it

@objective_cfc And how is that success guaranteed when they’ve never been involved in sports before?

@objective_cfc We’re also a gigantic football club, used to competing. Don’t tell me I shouldn’t expect that within a 4 year period

You can expect what you want man. Your free as am I. To go back to the analogy, you might want to sprint off because you expect to be winning a quarter of the way through the race. I might be happy to go slowly because i know I can sustain it even think you’re rushing ahead. Who won the race and who gassed out half way? The tortoise or the hare?

@objective_cfc The tortoise or the hare argument is incredibly silly ngl, we have a good core of players (Enzo, Caicedo, Palmer etc) who says they are willing to wait and sit around for a bit of ambition to be shown? Enzo is already being linked with a move away and if he does, argument is null

@Wayne95891037 It’s not silly man. It’s a story about success that perfectly explains how two approaches can look differently in the short term and long term Judgement cannot be placed until the race is finished Enzo wants a new contract imo.
