during Ramadan my husband, who is Catholic, refused to eat during lunch so that he could sit in solidarity with his Muslim co-workers. despite their reassurances, he said he felt bad. So today, which is a holy day (Good Friday) for us Catholics, his Muslim friends fasted with him until noon and no one had meat. they all had vegan/vegetarian meals. my heart is so grateful for these signs of love ❤️

Visiting the United States after two years. My parents live here, so I have to come from time to time. My father is getting old and frail and it saddens me that I was never able to convince him to come live with me. He simply loves America.
Transferring through Boston Airport, you begin to realize how third-world much of the U.S. infrastructure has really become. To move from one terminal to another, you pass piles of rubbish and construction materials. The TSA (customs) staff, as always, seem rude and on an ego trip. Watching people with little achievement in life wield so much arbitrary authority over others is quite something to witness.
The bathrooms are dirty and falling apart. You pay $7 just to use a baggage trolley. Travelers are made to pass through radiation scanners for no clear reason—something many other airports around the world manage without. And if you choose the alternative physical check, you should be prepared for your private parts to be fiddled with.
There is none of the extra courtesy toward women and children that we have become accustomed to in many Muslim countries. Domestic flights can also be a stressful experience—you constantly encounter drunk or easily triggered passengers.
Order food/drink and workers will just give you attitude. No one wants to work.
I don’t remember the US to be this bad growing up here. Especially the attitude of people to each other.

Anybody that goes to Great Clips in today's time is a cheap skate. Of course these Indians or any white dude that is fine with getting their haircut by a female that doesn't know how to cut hair, will always have horrible cuts and be made fun of walking around. They don't even use straight edge razors for beard line ups lol. So yes even white dudes going there should feel ashamed. No man should go to a great clips ever for a hair cut. Go to a real barbershop where men know how to line up bears!

Just goes to tell you that medical students from Pakistan are that much more advanced and have higher scores than Egyptians real talk. This residency match says it all lol. And that's why amongst the diaspora in the US, in my city alone we have 200 American Pakistani doctors in Stlouis, Missouri and only a handful of Egyptians. 🤷♂️
