While serving as president in 1807, Thomas Jefferson received a unusual gift from explorer Zebulon Pike when he was sent two live grizzly bear cubs that had been captured during an expedition out West. These were no domesticated animals. They were, and still are powerful predators. So Jefferson decided to house them right there on the grounds of the President's House, later known as the White House. At first the cubs stayed in cages, but as they grew larger they spent time in a spacious enclosure on the lawn roaming freely alongside his peacocks, partridges, and mockingbirds. Eventually the bears grew too big and dangerous to keep safely around the White House, so Jefferson shipped them off to a museum in Philadelphia. For a short while though the leader of the young United States had actual grizzly bears hanging out on the front lawn.

@GyllKing Sex is the one, innate, immutable and common trait that every human shares. Sex is not Gender, and 99.99% of the planet does not have a Gender Identity. So, yes, sex-based rights are definitionally about equal rights. Anything else is sexist, regressive, illegal, discriminatory.
