Someone didn't know what Good Friday was and was planning to watch a documentary about Easter this weekend. I recommended 'The Passion of the Christ'.

I don't know who needs to know this, but you can't call yourself a Christian if you don't act like one.

@Michael_Haz They spend most of their day talking to children about things from a book they unquestionably follow, with an answer key, so it makes sense.

Another guy got out of his car to have words with a woman driver. Tense! The line started backing up into the street as I left.

Some guy is pushing his car, hoping to get a few more drops in, and sets off his alarm.

@vbspurs They say he's into bimbofication, but if that's the case, isn't his wife into it as well? Maybe it was a shared interest.

@vbspurs I'll need photos to make an accurate assessment; seems to be axing women with a certain look.

So the two most prominent women hired by Trump for his Administration Administration are out. Tulsi Gabbard next? Susie Wiles? Karoline Leavitt? It's kind of baked in that Linda McMahon will be "fired" -- when the Dept of Education is disbanded.

@AlanMCole It's not like they'd bring us into an auditorium to watch a tape of the explosion, and pretend to act shocked when it happened. But to be fair, they did kill a character off on Sesame Street when their actor died in real life back in those days, so I wouldn't put it past them!

Shuttle launches were super-frequent at that time, but this one happened at a very convenient time for schools to put it on. If I interrogate my own childhood, I know for sure 9-11 was live in school at age 13, but various other Television Moments, no idea, probably replay.

My best reverse-engineering of this situation: People who were 14, remember the teacher and the TV cart in school and all that, and then having to re-adjust, did see it live. Other people more likely than not saw a replay on the news.
Dave W Plummer@davepl1968

99.9% of people who "experienced" the Challenger disaster saw it on replay and now remember it as live. Almost NO ONE was watching. Everyone thinks they were. It's a fascinating collective false memory.

@vbspurs @NewCoffiest There's always the issue of franchises and store managers not following directions. Sometimes the fries are bad at one store because they aren't cooking them right, or not salting them properly.

How early does brunch begin for you? Is 10 AM too early? That still seems like breakfast territory to me, albeit pushing it.

@NewCoffiest @vbspurs All I'm saying is BK thought the only way they could sell burgers was by selling them when no one else does. (Although I have heard good things about their update from TheReportoftheWeek!)

People say you need to read the book to enjoy the movie, or watch the prior movie in a series to enjoy the movie, but I saw Twilight Breaking Dawn: Part 2 without any of that and really enjoyed it. I guess it's just a better movie than the one you are defending!

@vbspurs I'll chalk it up to women being more likely to bleach their hair, and men having the option of short hair (easier to choose to not have bad long hair).

@vbspurs I wouldn't be surprised if this whole Iran thing turns out to be a behind the scenes deal he made with the Saudis to fund his library.

@vbspurs Pretty sure he'll use the threat of investigations, fines, or regulatory actions to get corporations to fund everything. I doubt he ever got much out of MAGA other than through his scams. Remember the "made in America" Trump phone, the NFTs, and the cryptocoins?

Can you imagine if the Trump Library becomes a hotel too? That thing is going to cost billions. Even die-hard Trump fans can't donate that much. He's going to have to monetise it big time.
Jason the commenter@BXGD

@vbspurs Obviously, you'd need to wait for it to be built before you could try moving in!
