@BeyondTransHelp
Our support network is for families, detransitioners, and those ambivalent about or regretting medical transition. Supported by @genspect

🚨WATCH: A detransitioner tells the California State Assembly how his body "fell apart" after being put on estrogen and puberty blockers at the age of 13. "Nipple leakage, brain fog, chest pain, depression. I was urinating blood and had ulcers in my bladder and was too weak to attend school," Johnny Skinner said. "When I told my doctor how sick I was, he looked at me and said, welcome to womanhood." Skinner made the comments while testifying against AB 1876, a bill that would prohibit insurers from denying or limiting coverage for so-called "gender-affirming care." "This bill forces insurance companies to fund this cruel homophobia. It continues the lie that some children are born in the wrong body. Vote no," Skinner added.

Honored to speak at @Genspect. When it comes to the health of our children, we must follow the science, not the politics. 🇺🇸 #MakeAmericaHealthyAgain

#DetransAwarenessDay Live in Washington D.C. Evelyn Ball is now talking about Trans Identification Viewed Through an Addiction Lens genspect.org/an-open-letter…

I am spending #detransawarenessday at the Life Beyond Transition conference in Washington DC organised by @genspect at this hotel. Tweets of interest may follow.

#DetransAwarenessDay Mia Poet admitted defeat in the war she had waged against her own body. She had hoped her body would return to a state of health and wholeness. Two years after ceasing to use a breast binder, she still suffers pain, has posture issues and severe neck pain. None of this damage has been reversed. The complications of breast binding are one of the most common transition harms that young women face. But almost no-one talks about it – breast binding is talked about as if binders were just clothes. They are not!

First panel is Evelyn Ball, Stella O'Malley, Dr Stephen Levine and Dr Bret Alderman. Levine has taken us back to his work with a transsexual patient in the early 1970s.
