Two weeks ago there were dire reports in the media about how man-made climate change was responsible for the heat-bubble that developed for a couple days over Southern California, sending March temps into the 100s in a few locations. Then there were follow-up reports about how quickly the Sierra snowpack melted when temps in the mountains climbed to daytime highs in the 50s and 60s. Yep -- how the weather changes .... Lake Tahoe got about 4-6 inches of snow last week on the surrounding mountains and a dusting at lake level. Forecast is for up to 2 feet overnight tonight, with several inches at lake level. I drove over the summit last night between Carson City and Lake Tahoe around 10:30 pm. Close to "white out" levels of snowfall at 7000 feet. And that was just the prelude. Man-made climate change -- its going to kill us all unless old age gets us first .
