@HAlhakeem_ @Catholic_bro @oliverburdick This same rationale could be used to promote the prosperity gospel. We can make up stuff all we want, but believe it at our own peril. The only thing that is surely true is what God has revealed.

@CatholicAndre @Catholic_bro @oliverburdick Our talk is not based on our own thoughts, but on what the Bible has revealed to us. It provides many examples/cases from which we can draw answers, provided that they do not contradict the Scriptures or the commandments of the Lord.

If a baby dies, it will go to heaven. Even if it wasn’t baptized.

@HAlhakeem_ @Catholic_bro @oliverburdick Listen, I agree with you, but we cannot get to heaven simply by not sinning. That is a condemned heresy called Pelagianism. The only way we know is through Jesus and the provisions He has revealed; nothing is revealed for the unborn. May God have mercy on the unbaptized babies.

@CatholicAndre @Catholic_bro @oliverburdick No, it’s called “she ends his life, not saves it” The baby will go to heaven bcs he bears no fault that his mom is a murderer & decided to take his life. Abortion is a sin; u can’t justify it, Death & life are only in the hands of God, & Jesus Christ is his Savior, not the mom

@AnimeAugsburg According to religion she is: Loved more than she can comprehend Specially created for a purpose greater than anything naturally possible Imbued with qualities higher than any other natural being Someone who Jesus decided was worth dying for

@CraigOnan @Roark___ @Catholic_bro Limbo is a theological speculation and has not been revealed. That is why it is not a doctrine of the church. Limbo is not a certainty.

Always fun to see Catholics arguing why babies can’t go to heaven.
That Catholic Guy 🇻🇦@Catholic_bro

@oliverburdick So a person can enter heaven without any personal faith in Christ or baptism? what makes that consistent with the Gospel call to believe and be baptized?

@CraigOnan @Roark___ @Catholic_bro We are completely unable to know things that are beyond our nature. Such as anything about salvation, heaven, hell, etc. God had to reveal them. We can know about God through what he has made also. Rom. 1:19-20. Those things are natural revelation, not above our nature.

@Roark___ @Catholic_bro We can’t be certain innocent babies don’t go to hell, but we can definitely be certain about non-biblical concepts of natural law.

@HAlhakeem_ @Catholic_bro @oliverburdick But you say babies who are killed go straight to heaven. So if a woman has 20 abortions, logically, according to this belief, she would be saving 20 souls. We know that God is just and merciful, and we hope that babies are saved, but we cannot know with certainty.

@JohnPalumb66174 @MrCasey62 Let’s face it, none of the reasons on this list are why you left. Desire to sin freely is why you left. It’s clear from your timeline. This list is a convenient scapegoat, as was the church changing the rules about fasting on Friday.

NEVER believe anyone who says they left the Catholic Church over “eating meat on Fridays”. Abstinence from meat on Fridays is simply a DISCIPLINE that the Church CAN bind under pain of sin. But Jesus Himself SAID what the Church can bind, the Church can loose.

@JohnPalumb66174 @MrCasey62 2. The laity are able to interpret the Bible on their own. Even encouraged to do so. The church’s teachings, its doctrines and dogmas and the clergy provide a sure resource when we go off the rails. This is a sign of the true church, that it would worship in spirit and truth.

@Catholic_bro @oliverburdick Children are directed by their parents and do not have full freedom of choice or complete autonomy over their decisions. God is just, and therefore they are considered worthy to enter the Kingdom.

@KBCC2422 @Catholic_bro @Michael1912510 @oliverburdick Perhaps, but unless He has revealed it, we cannot know this with certainty. Most Christians say that we are born in sin and need Christ to be saved. Unless one holds to universalism, there is no way to rationalize this from what has been revealed.

@Catholic_bro @Michael1912510 @oliverburdick Because God is perfectly JUST. It would not be JUST to send a being that knows absolutely nothing anout anything especially Jesus Christ. Same thing goes for mentally challenged/those unable to process/comprehend.

@JohnPalumb66174 @MrCasey62 The greater number of these are completely false or distortions. If you are game, we could address certain ones, or go through the list one by one? It certainly helpful to no one to believe myths or distortions.
