Matt also is allowing me to continue to do my private training business on the side and work with me if I find a high school head coaching job so I can do both. Can’t wait for this new adventure and stepping out of my comfort zone.

Some personal news: I was always hesitant to coach club due to costs and clubs focusing on winning rather developing youth but I am making the jump to Matt Besler’s Captains SC. I’ll be coaching 2014/15 girls. I’ll also be able to collaborate with the club on development

@jc_playmakerWNY @Coach_Osku Players especially CMs in the US that I’ve noticed need to also learn to be okay just sitting in a pocket and taking a few steps into channels instead of trying to be the energizer bunny running around with their head cut off

@jc_playmakerWNY @Coach_Osku When team is in possession running without the ball tends to draw a defender to you so walking can give you more space. Walking also gives you more time to scan & process the scan. it depends on where you are in relation to the ball imo but I agree. Work smart not hard

Watch your game film. I guarantee you’ll see players walking when they could be sprinting, jogging when they should be bursting. Running more isn’t just fitness—it’s a mindset.

"There are no pros to high school soccer except playing with your friends." - MO Rush soccer club. @SoccerDadPod @Msccamp I could not disagree more. This is the message kids and parents hear from a young age. When I say the war on high school soccer is real, I mean it.

Was able to attend another @UnitedCoaches convention in Chicago! Always so great networking with other high school & college coaches. I was also honored from this past spring season as the USC Spring Large School Regional Coach of Year! Another great convention!

It’s always good when the guys are in town and want to get touches in even in the sleet and cold.

Big ruling by a court today that JUCO athletes who play college sports, retain all 4 years of NCAA eligibility even if they play a year or two of JUCO Might encourage a lot more athletes to go that route

@LadueSoccer Kshsaa only cares about football. Plus it’s a lot of eastern ks schools vs western ks schools. When I was coaching I was pushing for more games, match seasons with Missouri and talked about more championships (why group class 1-4 together group 1&2 then 3&4) kshaa is archaic

Kansas has the worst classification system of any I know of. A school like Bishop Miege just kills the "competition" year after year without ever moving up classes to actually challenge themselves. These states that only use school population to classify baffle me.

Saturday was the first time I got to coach Woodland FC and after only a single practice in charge. Also first time coaching but not playing in the US Open Qualifying. We played an extremely talented @TTownSoccer who had great chemistry.
