Teacher Twitter is kinda dead. A few years ago if I’d have posted a new project on here, I would get quite a bit of interaction. Now : silence. I don’t even know how to get the word out anymore.

We see our home planet as a whole, lit up in spectacular blues and browns. A green aurora even lights up the atmosphere. That's us, together, watching as our astronauts make their journey to the Moon.

Because the astronauts are traveling so far, a series of Earth-based satellites known as the Deep Space Network help keep us connected to our Moon-bound crew. Did you know you can see those connections happening real-time? You can see which satellites are communicating with Orion by visiting: go.nasa.gov/4m6vnHP

Fist bump, Rise! Very emotional moment zipping up Rise, knowing we are bringing 5,647,889 names with us on this journey around the Moon. For all!   People from around the world submitted their names through the Send Your Name with Artemis campaign. These names were downloaded onto an SD card that is safely stored inside "Rise," the zero gravity indicator designed by 2nd grader Lucas Ye from California. Thanks for coming along, everyone!

We're big fans of π! NASA missions depend on pi - from returning astronauts to Earth from the International Space Station to learning about the materials inside a planet or asteroid. Check out 18 ways that NASA uses pi: go.nasa.gov/4drYtyW

Today is the International Day of Women and Girls in Science! Did you know that Beatrix Potter was also a scientist? In 1967 W.P.K. Findlay, a previous President of the British Mycological Society, used her drawings in a volume of the ‘Wayside and Woodland’ series of books.
