@Eman5695 We rescued a stray a few years ago. Took some adjustment but he loves it here. If you want to try and keep her, do it. There’s no reason to release her when she has a much better chance at a great life with you

I'm looking for a little reassurance.
I trapped my first feral cat and had her spayed this past Wednesday! 🎉 The clinic estimated her to be around 4 months old and recommended releasing her the day after surgery.
I haven’t been able to let her go yet — I’ve been feeling a lot of guilt about returning her to the outdoors.
She’s young, and though she’s very scared, she does allow me to pet her. I keep thinking maybe I can socialize her. But she hides constantly and is terrified of me, even in the safety of our bathroom.
I know releasing her might be the right thing, but it breaks my heart thinking she won’t have the warmth, love, and security she could as an indoor cat.
Any advice or experience would really help right now
