Kids have not historically spent all their time in a house with parents. They’ve lived in communities where some adults watched over a bunch of them while others gathered resources. But now we’re to believe daycare will scar them for life.
No need to make parenting this difficult

This is why I think it’s wrong to *choose* to have only one child. You are depriving your child of companionship, fun, and peer relationship training at home — not to mention setting them up to believe the world revolves around them.

The best thing I ever did for my marriage was to tell my wife that I would no longer be doing any chores in the house. No cooking, no cleaning, nothing.
I was going to focus on making money so the family had plenty of resources, and she would focus on the domestic responsibilities. Everything has been better ever since.
A clear division of responsibility reduces marital conflict.

Son is displaying some pretty severe ADHD behavior along with his sensory processing stuff. Pediatrician gave me an evaluation to fill out. Nurse called me back today. Here’s how the convo went.
Nurse (super nice): so Dr said it does look like he’s showing some early signs of ADHD. Dr wants to repeat the evaluation in November after he starts school so the teacher can get to know him and fill out the eval.
Me: okay and what if we’re homeschooling?
Nurse (super rude): uh. IS that what you’re doing?
Me: yeah that’s why I said that
Nurse (even more rude): okay well if that’s the case then this (the ADHD) doesn’t even matter
Me: …….
Like what the heck?? Does ADHD only affect kids negatively when they’re in public school? I hung up the phone after she said that.

@Madz_Grant Life is much busier nowadays and people dont have the luxury of sleeping away the day. Many parents have 2 jobs and have to be up before their kids to get housework done.

I've noticed amongst friends who have little kids that they are basically forced into waking up when they do. When I was little I remember v clearly knowing that we shouldn't go and wake parents until at least 9am on a weekend, and generally entertaining ourselves in the morning
