@comrade1312mtg Modern has been ruled by multiple different decks over the last 3-ish years where something has needed to change to save the format, only for something new to arrive and ruin it. I don't love everything about modern, but I have appreciated it's stability. Sameness can be good.

The lack of churn and real innovation in Modern is sign of bad health, magic is a better game with change and that’s a heuristic that I think should be more outwardly taken into account. Sultai LE (a close to unplayable deck) doing well in one event should not be center topic

@dylan_donegan1 I'm always down for a Pierce here. You could easily take Chrome Mox for a combo start, too, but I would rather have the safer start personally.

(I personally wanted unbans in modern. Nothing I could think of really needed to be banned in any format except pioneer, but nobody gives a fuck about pioneer, so...)

@Chyaboiiiiii @AliEldrazi It can't work in Magic. We have the equivalent of one on MTGO and Arena because you can program the client to tick down the clock anytime you have priority. This is extremely unfeasible in paper settings. Not to mention that implementation would be a huge mess.

@AliEldrazi Since I started playing TCGs competitively I’ve always said there should be a chess clock, or something similar, to prevent slow play. Thoughts?

Feedback for competitive events: Judges do a fantastic job staying on top of match result submissions. Bringing that same consistency to slow play enforcement would elevate the experience even further.
