I started a web3 group 2 years ago to help onboard pinoys to crypto. A lot of things have changed since then. When we started out, the space was full of good vibes and interesting stuff espcially with NFTs. There were scams only 40% of the time. Now it's almost 90% scams with memecoin meta and I even got phished recently on a fake eigenlayer website. Many good ones have disappeared after seeing their efforts go to waste. Only the bad actors are left because they are still making money from noobs. I can't even onboard people with a clear conscience bec I know they will get scammed immediately. This space is currently a shithole. BUT there is a shining diamond underneath all this filth. Web3 is still THE most interesting place on the planet. Thats why we created @GentryWeb3 to show that there are mature, level headed, real class in the space who aren't all out there to make a quick buck or steal your money. We aren't "building" any technology. We are creating a culture for the eventual hyperfinancialization of the world. Start out as a kid, thats ok. But you need to grow the f up eventually. You can't do anything you want. Make money, but don't be greedy. Don't just take, give. Save your soul and look for spirituality because wealth will not bring you happiness or satisfaction. These are all life lessons I hope to share with the Gentry fam and to the rest of web3. Gm!
