At the 8th European Political Community Summit in 🇦🇲, joined a roundtable on “Connectivity & Economic Security in the Green Transition.” I emphasized Georgia’s strategic role as a reliable bridge between Europe and Asia and highlighted the importance of connectivity for economic security and long-term stability.

On February 25, the National Flag of Georgia is flying at half-mast at the premises of the Embassy of Georgia to the Republic of Poland to commemorate the occupation of the First Democratic Republic of Georgia by the Soviet Russia’s Red Army on 25 February, 1921.

On the 4-year anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, we reaffirm our unwavering support for Ukraine’s #sovereignty & #territorial integrity — and for a rules-based international order rooted in the #UN Charter & accountability for violations. 🇺🇦

We are closely following developments in Venezuela with the hope that future processes will unfold in line with the best interests of the Venezuelan people. Given that the Venezuelan authorities recognized Georgia’s occupied regions, Abkhazia and the so-called South Ossetia, as independent states in gross violation of international law, we express hope that recent developments will lead to the reversal of this unlawful decision, in line with Georgia’s national interests and international legal principles.

17 years have passed since Russia’s full-scale military aggression against Georgia in August 2008, which led to the ongoing occupation of Georgia’s indivisible regions - #Abkhazia and the #Tskhinvali region.
