@JCleverOne @chibith0t Yeah. I agree. You didn't say anything wrong here as far as I can tell. Though, in the past, Action Adventure movies have failed spectacularly on some occasions because they were both bad and not entertaining. (For a majority)

But then you hit a revolving door, so bad it's good. But not every bad movie can be so bad it's good. Sometimes there are just objectionably bad movies that can't be redeemed. Though, it's probably someone's favorite anyway. The point I want to make is that, just because something is entertaining, that doesn't make it objectively good. A 'good' movie, also isn't always entertaining.

@GoopyGobVT @chibith0t But in the sense that it’s so terrible that you ACTUALLY enjoy it. Makes it good, this is the whole point. A movie can be trash but it can also be good for those exact same reasons, some shit is just funny and entertaining to watch and that’s what makes them sell

@0TreNextDoor @chibith0t Not all media is meant to be entertaining. But, let's say for example there's a movie. It's fucking awful bro. But you sit down with your dudes and you watch it, have a drink or two and just tear it to shreds. That was entertaining, right? That doesn't make it good.

@Anonymarte @chibith0t I feel like that's a very fair and reasonable thing to say. We're very drawn to negativeness and don't point out the positives as often as we should.

@GoopyGobVT @chibith0t Nah that's the problem in our days everyone wants to see the flaws, and even worse, focus on the flaws. I don't think we have so much entertainment in a movie for years. Of course some people won't like it because it's not their humor because they don't like Pine or whatever

I mean if we're being definitely objectionable, The Room isn't even close. But if we place D&D next to a movie that is generally considered good, we can see where some of the cracks are. Hell, as a D&D player myself I see the cracks. But the question I'm posing now is, do we want to remove the entertainment value of the movie to nitpick over what we think is good or bad about it?

@Anonymarte @chibith0t There are objectionable bad movies that are still entertaining. People love the Cult Classic 'The Room' even though it's awful. Does that make it a good movie? The public says no, but it doesn't stop you from enjoying what you enjoy. Love what you love. No shame in it.

@bwabiroy @chibith0t You'd be right it's subjective. I like some movies others don't, you probably like something I don't. We can even go against general consensus and like objectionably bad movies. It's a whole can of worms that, frankly, I don't think either of us care to open right now.
