When we said SHA was likely to fail Kenyans from the very beginning, this is exactly what we meant. Garissa Governor Nathif Jama has publicly stated that SHA is not working. To demonstrate the point, he reportedly gave an ailing woman KSh 1,000 to seek treatment, “hakuna mambo ya SHA hapa.” The Cabinet Secretary for Health, Aden Duale, comes from Garissa County. This is therefore not a question of politics. From the beginning, many of us raised concerns that the conversation around SHA was focusing excessively on registration numbers, platforms, and contributions while paying insufficient attention to service delivery. A health financing system is not successful because people are registered. It is successful when a sick person can walk into a facility and receive care without financial hardship. As I have written before, universal health coverage is ultimately measured at the point of care. If patients continue to be turned away, asked to pay out of pocket, or are unable to access essential services despite being registered, then the system is not achieving its intended purpose. Healthcare financing reforms must be judged by whether they improve access, equity, and patient outcomes. If SHA is working, demonstrate it through improved access to care. @JoelJirane Bare minimum ...we need an Ebola case reported so as to justify the whole preparation and money spent on 'quarantine'.

Bastards can do 47 quarantine facilities in days in each county but they can't equip CT scan machine in atleast one hospital across the counties. Crooks are only active when they get some kickbacks.
