@commondoubts It essentially goes to zero. All that tooling fit fine within our existing setup. The only real expense was the time to tweak and integrate a few different things. But the payback on that was rapid. Gravy savings from that point on.

Our renewal bill for Datadog came to ~$83,000/year before we canceled. There's no way, no how the time we've spent replacing the key usage amounts to 1/3 or 1/2 of a full-time employee. Not even close. Enterprise SaaS pricing is bonkers.

@PhongGT @TheJackForge “They” is overly generic. Taxation in Switzerland for example is much lower (I pay 18% over 150k$) but much higher in countries like Belgium and the Netherlands

Vandaag mijn loonstrook ontvangen. Van iedere €100 vakantiegeld wat ik ontvang mag ik €44,- houden, de andere €56,- gaat naar de overheid. Nog een “klein” zuurtje van de huidige regering. Ik heb een prima inkomen maar maximaal 50% belasting zou ik eigenlijk wel genoeg vinden.
