@ReginaldDCole 💯 I’ve always believed in the law of specificity in most facets of disciplined pursuits. This includes instruction and guidance. the greater the similarity between practice & the desired performance, the more effective it is. Understand what you want to be good at and practice

Question for coaches of players 13+ years of age: Do you ever ask players to study a player, system, team, facet of the game? If so, what criteria do you consider “studying” the game? YouTube? Books? Articles? Game film?

@BenCoaches16 Live games in person is probably the most valuable lesson one can receive watching a game. Nice one!

@ReginaldDCole That’s great feedback. Thank you for sharing. Those are really important distinctions, too. I’ve fallen into the trap of thinking lower skilled players who were eager to improve would be eager learners off the field. They were reluctant learners/readers on soccer material.
