I've lived in Latin America for 12+ years Broke for 5+ years, then well, not broke anymore The surprising thing? Quality of life stayed nearly the same during both phases because I knew where to go when cash was low If you're in a similar situation... Here are 11 cities where you can live well on under $2K/month in 2026 โ€” and most gringos have never heard of half of them: nomadanewsletter.io/p/top-11-cheapโ€ฆ

A few years back... My homie shared with me a secret spot The "nightlife capital" of a country that no one on this God forsaken app has ever mentioned before...EVER He talked about it like it was "El Dorado" after spending a couple weeks there Y'all would discount it immediately if I shared it too, but my homie is an elite travel autist, he knows ball Should I share it?

Ohhhh interesting... Who's got the inside scoop on Iquitos, Peru ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ช these days? Been on my list for awhile now, looks kinda dope
Solo Pablo@SAGreenGringo

@JakeNomada Iquitos Peru. Was cheap, interesting and the food was great. You have the Belen market and the Amazon jungle to go on tours. I enjoyed it and I really liked the food a lot.

๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ด BARRANQUILLA, COLOMBIA ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ด Easily the best city on the Colombian coast... And it's *NOT* even close โ†’ 4th largest city in Colombia, on the Caribbean coast โ†’ Way cheaper than Cartagena or Santa Marta โ†’ The north of the city is legitimately nice โ†’ Carnival of Barranquilla is 2nd biggest in the world โ†’ Direct flights to Miami, Panama, + Colombian cities โ†’ Hot and humid year-round โ€” not for everyone โ†’ Most people skip it, that's the point If you made the mistake of visiting Cartagena, you can leave that cesspool and be in Barranquilla in 90 minutes by car HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The "living abroad cheaply" era is officially over in most of Latin America But there's still hope... Here's 3 countries where you can still live VERY well on $1,500-2,000/month: ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡พ PARAGUAY ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡พ - Asuncion rent: $600-1,000/month - Near perfect weather 8/9 months of year - Easy residency + tax benefits - Zero gringo tax - Incredibly friendly locals ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ด BOLIVIA ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ด - Santa Cruz rent: $400-800/month - Functional big city, underrated - Great food scene - Cheap flights regionally - Still fairly undiscovered ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฎ NICARAGUA ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฎ - San Juan del Sur for beach living - Granada for colonial vibes - Safest country in Central America - Infrastructure improving rapidly P.S: More options found here ๐Ÿ‘‡ nomadanewsletter.io/p/top-11-cheapโ€ฆ

If you're currently in the cesspool of a city known as Cartagena, Colombia...STOP Do NOT pass "go" Do NOT collect $200 Get in a car, drive 2-hours , and you'll find a much, much better city... ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ด BARRANQUILLA ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ด

Here's a few places that seem UNDERRATED throughout Latin America in 2026... โ†’ Cordoba, Argentina ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ท (BA vibes at half the price) โ†’ Barranquilla, Colombia ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ด (coastal energy, few gringos) โ†’ Quito, Ecuador ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡จ (great climate, $600/month rent) โ†’ Santa Cruz, Bolivia ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ด (dirt cheap, actually functional) โ†’ Monterrey, Mexico ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฝ (modern + developed, hiking, few tourists) โ†’ Punta del Este, Uruguay ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡พ (only Argentines go, family friendly beach living) โ†’ Fortaleza, Brazil ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ท (only heard great things, one of best beach cities in Brazil) Where did I miss? Other underrated cities in LatAm?

@STEFisDOPE Completely different spots, one is pure tourism and the other really only works for remote workers looking for certain things
