@JakeNomada Iquitos Peru. Was cheap, interesting and the food was great. You have the Belen market and the Amazon jungle to go on tours. I enjoyed it and I really liked the food a lot.

And it's *NOT* even close โ†’ 4th largest city in Colombia, on the Caribbean coast โ†’ Way cheaper than Cartagena or Santa Marta โ†’ The north of the city is legitimately nice โ†’ Carnival of Barranquilla is 2nd biggest in the world โ†’ Direct flights to Miami, Panama, + Colombian cities โ†’ Hot and humid year-round โ€” not for everyone โ†’ Most people skip it, that's the point If you made the mistake of visiting Cartagena, you can leave that cesspool and be in Barranquilla in 90 minutes by car HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Here's a few places that seem UNDERRATED throughout Latin America in 2026... โ†’ Cordoba, Argentina ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ท (BA vibes at half the price) โ†’ Barranquilla, Colombia ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ด (coastal energy, few gringos) โ†’ Quito, Ecuador ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡จ (great climate, $600/month rent) โ†’ Santa Cruz, Bolivia ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ด (dirt cheap, actually functional) โ†’ Monterrey, Mexico ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฝ (modern + developed, hiking, few tourists) โ†’ Punta del Este, Uruguay ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡พ (only Argentines go, family friendly beach living) โ†’ Fortaleza, Brazil ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ท (only heard great things, one of best beach cities in Brazil) Where did I miss?
