@rshereme There are already several EU batallions stationed in the Baltics ready for this scenario. And we have the joint Expeditionary Force to back it up - yes including nuclear subs. Russia would get crushed directly then loose Kaliningrad in a grip.

Imagine the following scenario: russia attacks the Baltic countries to connect with Kaliningrad — just as it attacked Ukraine to gain access to Crimea. What will the U.S. do? Here’s my prediction: nothing. Article 5 will be treated like the Budapest Memorandum. Trump, Rubio, and other MAGA propagandists will claim, “This isn’t our war.” And if russia swiftly invades the Baltic states (which would be far easier than Ukraine), declares them part of russia, and then threatens the West with nuclear weapons should they respond — what will the West do? Exactly what they did for Ukraine. The cowardice of the U.S. has emboldened russia. Those who now say “russia would never dare invade” said the same about Ukraine — right before russia did exactly that. The only way to stop russia now is to help Ukraine and punish russia for its imperial ambitions.

@NXT4EU All these ”American” maps focus only on big companies. When comparing all companies - and not stockmarkets - it is very equal. Europes has more, but smaller, companies. Many times these tweets are just Russian psyops though.

@FredrikHjelm4 We had a Riksbanken that had a negative interest rate for almost a decade. This created a carry trade heaven and the SEK went down 30%. We lost same amount in comparable asset value, and the low interest rate created asset inflation on real estates. Not a great track record.

KALLAS: Russia is trying to get those territories they haven't been able to conquer militarily in 12 years around the negotiation table. It's the Russian playbook of negotiations: they are demanding something that has never been theirs. This is a trap we should not fall into.

@HugodPeter @BohuslavskaKate Russian psyops-guy fake-question Ukraine. I say Russia has newer been a country. It is a province pf Sweden as it was a Swede that founded Moscovia. Hence no one need to care for Russian borders. Russia should become part of Sweden again and be ruled from Stockholm - right?

@BohuslavskaKate Since the borders between Ukraine and Russia have never been settled and NATO promised in the declaration from Brussels in 1994 never to expand to disputed territory, we might want to question what NATO is doing in Ukraine and if it's legitimate for Russia to defend against it?

European armies are living in a fantasy. We do not have even a fraction of the cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, or interceptors needed to survive a high intensity war or actually deter Russia. We are entirely exposed and relying on empty stockpiles. We must wake up

@FredrikHjelm4 4.

@NXT4EU Why a dark day? You do understand that many goods are exempt and trade weighted it is not 15% but between 7-9%. It is 4-5% higher than present. Not great but not too much to get time to get our defense in place. It was a very good trade play they did…

@stats_feed Poland's GDP exploded by rejecting mass migration and preserving its culture—meanwhile, Sweden's "enrichment" experiment turned it into Europe's crime capital while its economy stagnated. Culture > open borders.

@alemannoEU You do understand that many goods are exempt, like pharmaceuticals etc and that wighted it is not 15% but rather 7-9%. It is still an increase of 5%-ish. But it is manageable. Gives enough time to increase defences.

How on earth is the EU Parliament ratifying von der Leyen’s US-EU surrender deal? 15% tariffs on EU exports against 0% on US imports, plus over €1tn in forced purchases of US oil, LNG & weapons. With Trump threatening Greenland, targeting Spain, and his own Supreme Court striking down his tariffs, MEPs are about to rubber-stamp a deal that’s manifestly an own goal for europe. They do so against the public opinion they’re supposed to represent. This isn’t ratification. It’s capitulation.

@RichardHanania Hmm - there are different way of taxing. In Sweden Social taxes of 36% are deducted from the employer BEFORE Salary to the employee (that are taxed). Hence all info about ones salary is after Social taxes. To compare net salary/employee cost u need to add 36% to the ”salary”.
