Jordan - Investor 170k 🇬🇧

In 2020 I opened a Stocks & Shares ISA with Vanguard. Quietly paid £300 in each month to a low fee index fund. 6 years later we are currently sat at £94,000. I have increased my contributions in recent years. But the power of compounding helped me get there. You never think you’ll hit these numbers until you do. Just keep going people 🫡

@DrHenryinvestor Currently sacrificing £600+ per week into pension and more money into other sacrifice schemes to try and avoid the 60% tax trap. Gives no incentive to work extra hours above 100k

Paid ~£40k income tax last year… Then HMRC said I still owed £5,293.83. A Gross £14,313 SIPP contribution changed everything: → Lowered my taxable income → Shifted income into lower tax bands → Final bill: £65.58 I was expecting a cash refund… but this is still a win. Most people see pensions as retirement. High earners see them as a tax tool. It’s not just about earning more. It’s about keeping more. Are you using yours efficiently?

Added a few stocks today: $CELH - buy the dip $GRAB - nice long term hold. Few shares Anyone buy anything?

@JordInvests Yes, I bought at $29.21 and then grabbed a few more at $28.67. I should have figured that there was some news out the way the share price was dropping so fast. I agree, though. Longer term they should hopefully turn out to be decent buys.

I added some more $CELH shares in my eToro account today. Frustratingly, it was only after I bought the shares that I saw the news that the company are facing an investigation by a Texas Attorney over the marketing practices and branding used to promote their high caffeine energy drinks. I would probably have held off if I had seen this news beforehand. Nevertheless, I'm still very bullish about the company moving forward, and still believe that they are well positioned to deliver sustainable long term growth going forward with the acquisitions they have made and their ever expanding product lines. Trading on a forward P/E of just 15.5 and 13.8 for the next two years (before today's drop), I think they are attractively valued now, and if they drop any more to around $25-$26, I will gladly buy one more tranche of shares to finish building out a full position.
