"A whole civilization will die tonight” are words no President of the United States had ever spoken until this morning. Donald Trump’s behavior is unhinged and making Americans less safe. After a 25-year career in the United States Navy, I have never met or served with anyone who so completely lacks the qualities of good leadership as Donald Trump does. If the President takes the actions he has threatened to take, countless Iranian civilians will die, it will massively escalate this war, and the United States will be seen as a country without a moral or ethical compass. That will make Americans less safe right now and risk the lives of thousands of service members. The consequences will have a lasting and damaging effect on our nation. Trump's mistakes have led us to this perilous moment, but the solution is not to escalate even further. This must stop.

St Peter's Church, Chillingham was founded in the 12th C. The South Chapel contains the elaborate 15th century tomb Sir Ralph Grey and his wife Elizabeth, their effigies lying side by side, and the Grey coat of arms at the base. #TombTuesday 📸 my own.

And they’re beginning the long journey back to Earth. Preliminary contact established after the break. Safe travels to the crew of ArtemisII.

@NASA My mum watched the first lunar landing on the news in 1969. She was feeding my sister who was born a few months earlier. It’s a privilege now to witness another first for space exploration, and see humans work together to make ArtemisII happen.

Am I absolutely crazy to return to X? Engagement is poor and it seems more Wild West than when I took a long break. I’d love to know how others feel about X now. I still mourn the #Twitter Days. It wasn’t perfect but miss the #Archaeology, #History, #Book and #WritingCommunity

We survived Storm Dave in Northumberland. The winds were vicious, howling around the eaves, whistling down the chimney, a steady roar. But it’s quieter now. All blown out. And some of the plum tree blossom has clung on. Happy Easter 🐣
