North Carolina’s Department of Education is broken. It’s bleeding tax money. It has over-administration. Teachers aren’t getting paid enough. Social issues are being taught over math, science, history, reading, and writing. Buildings are in disrepair. Violence in schools is out of control. Simply ask yourself, what has our governor done about all of this? NOTHING.

Today's news should concern anyone who cherishes our democracy. This Supreme Court decision guts the Voting Rights Act, freeing legislatures to diminish the ability of racial minorities to elect their preferred candidates, and abandons the principle of equal participation in our democracy. Voters should choose their representatives, not the other way around. Voters can still win — we just have to work even harder. Let’s get to work.

I have now been accosted by two Republican members of Congress for trying to remove pesticide liability protections. Both of which claim to be “God-fearing” Christians, but are shilling for cancer causing pesticide companies. Yikes. One even claims to be pro-life, but is cool with pesticides killing kids.

If Senate Majority Leader Thune won’t give us the SAVE America Act, then I need everyone on board with DEFEATING Cornyn on May 26th in Texas. One by one, we are going to defeat Thune’s Senate allies until he no longer has the votes to remain Senate Majority Leader. I will also help primary Thune in 2028.
