A great example of how discovery can lead to future, unexpected uses! We can now use a non-toxic piece of this Cholera Toxin to identify phrenic motor neurons- the ones responsible for the diaphragm- to study how they react to either pathology or treatment!
Past Medical History@PastMedHistory

Prof. Sambhu Nath De (1915 – 1985), who discovered the cholera toxin and successfully demonstrated the transmission of the cholera pathogen. #histmed #historyofmedicine #microbiology #pastmedicalhistory

The public has a distorted view of science, because children are taught in school that science is a collection of firmly established truths. In fact, science is not a collection of truths. It is a continuing exploration of mysteries. - Freeman Dyson

We applaud @TomHolland1996 for taking the essential step of resting and recovering after his concussion on the Spiderman Set. Recognizing the need to pause work is the first step toward healing. The sooner recovery begins, the sooner the return — safer, stronger, and ready. 💪
