Absolutely valid reasoning. But if you disagree with the political party that provided you public positions then RESIGN your seat. Don’t defect to another political party you fought against & whose ideology you disagreed with. Means and ends must match.

This man says that reading books is a waste of time
I can tell you what is the real waste of time... Listening to this complete balderdash on television or social media.
As far as saying that reading books is not 'enough' there is something that is called a necessary but not sufficient condition.
But if you stopped your education ages ago, this would be long forgotten
On that note, just recorded a podcast with @nikunjdalmia on books. The major issue for me was keeping the recommended list below 20 books.
For a few hundred rupees, you can learn what someone has learnt over lifetime - make no mistake, there is no better value proposition available in the world.
And of course here is the Charlie munger on reading:

73 Opposition MPs in the Rajya Sabha have just submitted to its Secretary General a fresh Notice of Motion for presenting an Address to the President of India praying for the removal of Shri Gyanesh Kumar, Chief Election Commissioner of India, on the ground of proven misbehaviour constituted by acts and omissions committed on and after 15 March 2026, within the meaning of Article 324 (5) of the Constitution of India read with Article 124(4) thereof, Section 11(2) of the Chief Election Commissioner and Other Election Commissioners (Appointment, Conditions of Service and Term of Office) Act, 2023 and the Judges (Inquiry) Act, 1968.
There are now nine specific charges against the CEC that have been documented in great detail and that simply cannot be denied or whitewashed away. His continuation is an assault on the Constitution. It is an absolute disgrace that the man continues to be in office to do the bidding of the PM and HM.

Would you rather listen to a complete lie or something that is 70% true?
You would think that an outright lie would be more of a problem... But you would be wrong.
You are less likely to believe something that is an obvious lie but something which has more than a grain of truth in it - just enough to make it plausible - is what actually entraps you.
The influencer blatantly pushing a crypto platform maybe discounted but someone who has educated you on PPF is believed when they are pushing a particular fund manager for, say, global investing, without disclosing their own hidden agenda.
Also, something may be technically true but still leave out the whole context. For instance all those examples of 'buy and forget' or 'put in a can and forget' show correct calculations but are still completely misleading.
My column in Mint will make you think not only of all the instances where others have led you up the garden path but even when you have misled yourself.
