@mxchmp Same!! I do appreciate the huge efforts done to reverse-engineer the game mechanics but so much of those mechanics did feel like a bug, it's nice to see them officially and publicly documented as such

EUIC was great and all But can we please talk about how the side vents were terribly overpriced, the prize tickets for participation and wins were awful and the ticket price at the prize wall just stupid?

@memiGRR @TheZzweilous This is my main theory too. DRE have been consistant for me during rocket battles so far, so I'm hopeful in that regard, but the game feels so different to play now, I hope they wait after EUIC before pushing it to PvP 🥲

@TheZzweilous My guess it's related to finally trying to fix the precious DRE thing. Rockets now have a different animation, which makes it more likely that this is how they're attempting to enforce how it should work (or that they`re fixing DRE so it actually triggers properly).

To ask a dumb question: Why is this an interlude season? Gameplay was fine and is unchanged a month in. CP from leaderboards isn't a thing yet. We shouldn't have tanked player numbers to protect the rarity of shiny libre RNG in a season that hasn't introduced anything new yet.

@bmenrigh_pogo @ClassicMode808 I want to add that the "shinies can't run" theory has been around for long enough that people have been ground-testing it as much as you to disprove it We had an Abra spotlight a few months ago, and every single shiny divided the "it's just luck" probability by 100, that's huge

Gotta have a video of the entire encounter start to finish, showing no Go+ in use, and no map movement before or after the encounter. Without it, it's not a valid data point. I've been taking a video of every one of my shiny encounters for this very reason. It only takes one very high quality example of a shiny running to invalidate the theory. Yet, nobody claiming they can run has ever produce such evidence.

Shiny pokemon definitely can’t run. I’ve been gathering data on this for a while and the evidence has become statistically overwhelming. If you have one run it’s because of some extenuating circumstance like the Go+ threw at it, or you were speed capped (which can happen for ~1-2 seconds even without moving or barely moving). I just threw about 200 red balls at a shiny mighty ttar before catching it. I have dozens of other shiny encounters tested prior to this, including a few shiny Audino (dozens of red balls before catch) and a shiny Abra which, despite a 99% flee rate, didn’t flee.
