There’s no way you can do those numbers 3 times a week
Just shows the players who played against spurs were saving themselves for last night
Problem is you need a much bigger squad if you want to play like that every game

4-2–2–2 is the best formation we have played this season . The most secure and balanced we looked with it was inter Milan . This has to be the way forward now . Dont wanna see slot fuck around with formations again. This way allows the players to play with freedom and security

Perhaps a controversial opinion but I'm sorry this is a good thing. If the fa did this we'd be lauding them if it was our team.

It's not new.
We've done it a number of times under Arne.
The problem has been that he's never allowed it to grow. Always backed away from it at the first sign of it not working immediately.
We should have been playing this way all season. As suggested by many in the summer

This is mainly due to low blocks and very direct football by passing the press
Most team in Europe try to play through it

It’s not a real surprise
The system we played last night was as close as your gonna get to Xabi 3-4-2-1 at Leverkusen where Wirtz excelled
What is does mean is you have to change the whole formation of the team to accommodate one player
Fortunately we have other players that can come in if he is injured unlike Leverkusen
Personally I don’t like teams that are dependent on one player’s fitness
Other issue this formation hasn’t worked too well in the PL
However this team wins the CL

If you’re a Liverpool fan hating on Wirtz, I just find you and the agenda incredibly cringe. This kid is only 22, has the highest potential of anyone I’ve seen, and has already broken records for us. We are in good hands.
