Do people not realize being able to climb to Celestial and even Eternity with a negative winrate (I've seen it) is literally an engagement mechanism just like EOMM? More players in higher ranks means faster ques for the hardcore playerbase. You can get to Top 500 in Rivals farming literal noobs who wouldn't even get to Plat in other competitive games, especially if you know when and how to queue. It's so unserious. This doesn't even count the other issues ranked has like unenforced punishments for wintrading and cheating. Quickplay, I suspect, uses a more traditional hidden MMR ELO system which is why the games are literally sweatier and higher quality than ranked if you win enough.

@ddxmouse yea I don't get it it's almost like I can play a game that has ranked where people don't afk in spawn if they don't get their way ...really strange...

@captaincoach_mr @PrettyBetrayer Sometimes I find that's not true. My winrate in competitive has been 57% basically this entire season, and I've barely ranked up after 20 hours of playing. How are people climbing with a negative WR when I can't climb with one that's almost 60%?
