Brother, yes, just that, we would be (are) crazy to try to be anything but ourselves, don't you think? After all, it takes effort to become something you are not and it is the easiest thing in the world to naturally be who you already are. The problem is that, by design (our own design, we deigned to play a game of hide-and-seek with ourselves, to forget who we really are so that we can have the delight of rediscovering that again) we are born having forgotten everything. Life is the process of rediscovering that and spirituality is the name we give to that process. You may think it has been more like a struggle than a delight but the struggle is there, the world, other people, seem to make that rediscovery difficult and uncomfortable because we made it so, so that we don't get too comfortable in the crazy illusion we were born into and forget that the point of the game is not to change the world or to become something within it but to rediscover our true nature and Being so that we can be free from the suffering that living in an illusion, a wrong understanding of life and reality, brings. So, the job is not to change the world but to rediscover who we are, through which we can make sense of what seems like a mysterious, uncomfortable, conflicted and confusing reality and to then be able to play our part in turing it into something awesome.
