Some people suggest that while green is expensive, the benefits are much greater Well, no: The benefit of net-zero is $4.5 trillion/year, but the cost $27 trillion (much larger costs and benefits, because we're currently only doing a bit of net-zero currently) x.com/BjornLomborg/s…

The Labor Theory of Value is easily refuted. Go move a set of boulders around randomly in a field. Explain how all your exertion deserves money when nobody needed or wanted those rocks shifted around. Your labor is only worth what someone is willing to pay. Not one penny more.
Byron - 🏳️‍🌈@ByronBiDisaster

That's wrong. I'm not a tankie who pretends communism was perfect. I'm just also not a shill for big business and lazy CEOs. Just because someone comprehends that labour has an intrinsic value doesn't mean they're the next Marx.

I did not, and an idea as limited as "him" has nothing to do with my thinking, either. Or "her." Or "it." to describe any entity as a deity. But, if you want to describe God so vastly that "existence" indicates "deity" to you, except so narrowly you can provide a gender to this "existence," I guess I have nothing to say to you, except have nice day. "God is existence" is as meaningless as God is "nothing." And there's nowhere for a conversation to go after that.

@parlancetfish @onboardnavvy @aceplym You can keep pretending to not see the point. That's fine. People who believe the lies of socialism generally lack the ability to make rational comparisons and contrasts, or to see the massive flaws in their ideas. But do keep digging.

@parlancetfish @onboardnavvy @aceplym No, I said your complaints about pimps was funny considering how central planners fixed rates, used violence, and took their cut. You deflected to middle managers, but once again, fell into the trap of complaining about capitalism when commies have the same faults or worse.

From a serious Second Amendment standpoint, the record of Pam Bondi reflects not principled constitutional enforcement, but inconsistency, deference to political pressure, and a failure to operationalize the very Supreme Court precedent she was sworn to uphold. As Florida’s Attorney General, Bondi did not merely tolerate gun control expansion, she actively supported it in the aftermath of the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting. That included backing policies such as raising the firearm purchase age to 21 and endorsing red flag laws, measures widely criticized by myself and other Second Amendment advocates as incompatible with the historical framework later articulated in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen. Her tenure at the federal level did little to correct that trajectory. While publicly announcing pro Second Amendment initiatives, including a DOJ task force and rhetoric about protecting gun owners, her record reflects a gap between stated intent and meaningful constitutional litigation. There is little evidence of a sustained or aggressive legal campaign to hold anti-gun states accountable under controlling precedent such as District of Columbia v. Heller or Bruen, despite those rulings providing a clear litigation roadmap. Even more critically, her approach to federal policy was reactive rather than transformative. Although certain Biden era regulatory actions were reviewed or rolled back, this amounted to selective administrative adjustment, not a structural dismantling of the broader regulatory framework. A serious constitutionalist approach would have paired regulatory reform with strategic litigation designed to create binding nationwide precedent and deter future infringement. At its core, the issue is not whether isolated pro-gun actions occurred, they did. The issue is whether Bondi used the full weight of her office to enforce the Second Amendment as a fundamental, enumerated right. On that measure, the record is lacking. The absence of decisive legal challenges against states openly defying Supreme Court precedent left countless Americans subject to unconstitutional restrictions, effectively abandoned to a fragmented and unequal application of their rights. An Attorney General is not merely a policy administrator; they are the chief constitutional litigator of the United States. In that role, restraint in the face of constitutional violations is not neutrality, it is acquiescence.

@IsaiahLCarter @elonmusk I had my account frozen for months for saying that Kyle Rittenhouse acted in self defense. I waited until Elon bought the company, but still had to delete that tweet to reactivate. He should've wiped the slate clean for everyone.

In 2021, my account was suspended for 119 days for this post. Twitter was quite literally acting as the deputy for the federal government, violating people's First Amendment rights for refusing to call a drug-dealing male pervert in a dress a woman. I'm STILL pissed. @elonmusk

This is a true story that happened in the United States of America @elonmusk. IIRC @IsaiahLCarter was also suspended over 120 days for referring to Danny Muscato as a man

I agree with the first sentence. democracy ≠ freedom Democracy is putting our rights up on the auction block, subject to the whims of mobs. Commies see democracy as their opportunity to steal more of your shit.

@parlancetfish @onboardnavvy @aceplym I’m not the commie who thinks management or inequality are bad features. That’s you. I simply show you that your promised utopia without such things doesn’t exist. It’s a Big Lie, and you’re gullible enough to believe it.

NEW: Pam Bondi was fired, in part, because President Trump believed she had tipped off Eric Swalwell, according to the Daily Mail. Trump reportedly believes Bondi had tipped off Swalwell about the FBI's effort to share investigative documents about his relationship with an alleged Chinese spy. "The FBI was preparing a cache of documents on Swalwell's relationship with Christine Fang," the Daily Mail reports. "She's intervening in those matters. The White House wasn't pleased she was intervening due to her personal friendship with Swalwell," a source told the Daily Mail.
