Yesterday we discussed the #SUROVAstudy in the #JournalClub of @IJGConline. In a large PSM cohort, there were no major survival differences between PDS and IDS in advanced ovarian cancer. #gynoncology #ovariancancer @lchiv4 @ClinicaNavarra

@IJGConline @lchiv4 @ClinicaNavarra In practice, most patients will still go to IDS. The challenge is to identify the small group who benefit from PDS R0 without complications!!! Two questions: 1️⃣ Can we really achieve R0? 2️⃣ Can we do it without any complication?

@IJGConline @lchiv4 @ClinicaNavarra But #SUROVAstudy is strongly hypothesis-generating: the longest survivors were those with PDS + R0 + NO postop complications! The key is not PDS vs IDS in theory, but doing the right surgery safely in the right patient!
