You could say "huh that's weird" and write it off except that this sure seems to be a trend with young players who come through the organization and then leave.

Brett Howden was regarded as an extremely safe projection as a prospect and he indeed has become exactly the player anticipated. That makes it especially funny that he spent three years in-between in New York where he didn't even look like an NHLer.
