It’s truly an honor to be selected as a 2025 #TauopathyChallengeWorkshop grantee. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the @RCFNeuro, @aging_mind, @alzassociation, and @CurePSP for recognizing the potential impact of our work how TDP-43 co-pathology affects tauopathies.

Our study provides a first comprehensive overview of pTau-associated proteomes across tauopathies and uncovered several important findings. It is also a starting point for further ProPPr projects, where we can put to good use everything that we have learned during this journey.

Our analysis demonstrated that infiltration of APs with FTL-positive microglia is a characteristic feature of CBD pathology. The observed complex co-localization patterns underscore the importance of using fluorescence microscopy to follow up on proximity proteomics findings.

Excited to share our latest work! We asked if and how TDP-43 regulates RNA transport in neurons and if this is misregulated in ALS. We found that it works to keep RNAs *out* of neurites, and that loss of TDP-43 activity results in specific RNAs aberrantly accumulating there.

Looks like PPS Silent Surfactant, Progenta anionic acid labile surfactant (AALS) I, AALS II, cationic acid labile surfactant (CALS) I, and CALS II are not commercially available anymore.

Can someone please point us to a source for mass spectrometry compatible surfactants less pricey than Invitrosol, ProteaseMax, and RapiGest SF? DDM did not work that well in our hands for FFPE tissue extraction and proteomics.

Excited to share our latest work! We developed a new method for studying RNA localization via proximity labeling: OINC-seq! In contrast to other proximity methods, labels deposited on RNAs are read directly by sequencing without a need for biotinylation. biorxiv.org/cgi/content/sh…
