Sports stars face inner demons as the rest of us do, but unlike the rest of us they sometimes have to deal with them publicly, under the glare of the same outlets that helped make them household names, writes @jasonrileywsj on.wsj.com/4bX5563

WOW! @Heritage_Sport sold a PSA 2.5 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle for $158,600, a record for any '52 Mantle in that grade. The kicker ... the consignor was 1992 Masters champion Fred Couples!

Reminder that Eric Swalwell, currently whining about abuses of power, has promised to abuse the power of the CA governor’s office against ICE agents to take away their drivers licenses and make them “unhirable."

2013 NBC exposed China's "birth tourism" scam. Chinese women fly here to give birth, securing US citizenship for their kids. Then fly home to raise them under CCP rules. About 1 million of these “Americans” will be back as voters in a few years.

Imagine being the IRGC You get completely owned for five straight weeks, and then you FINALLY shoot down one plane, and then the US Military just sends in Delta Force, rescues both pilots, and kills a few hundred more of your men because they can

Here’s Ben Stein in 1979 describing television as an engine of cultural demoralization. He argues that a small clique of producers and writers pushed a left-coded inversion of reality onto the public. They despised traditional power centers and hated figures like Buckley. They propagandized the nation into accepting a fake world where businessmen are villains, criminals are the good-guys, small towns are sinister, military officers are proto-fascists, and work barely exists.
Yuri Bezmenov's Ghost@Ne_pas_couvrir

In the 1970s Ben Stein interviewed major TV producers/writers to ask why their portrayal of US culture was so distorted. Businessmen were evil. Real life crime was always depicted inaccurately, favoring instead the Marxist narratives on race, class, and culture of the new left.

NEW: Gavin Newsom’s wife suggests Pam Bondi was fired because she is a woman, says Trump is declaring “war on all women.” “[Trump’s agenda] is pushing us back into this straitjacket of femininity that is only in service of men,” she said. This woman might single-handedly destroy any chance Newsom has at becoming president.

@SarahisCensored Sickening. There’s obviously different standards of justice operating in our country right now. Imagine the media and public outrage if the individuals here were reversed.

Exactly one year ago today, Austin Metcalf was murdered in broad daylight. The man responsible is now sitting at home on house arrest - enjoying freedom and time with his family. He admitted to the act, saying: “I’m not alleged. I did it.” He spent just 12 days in jail. His bond was reduced. Over half a million dollars was raised. He was allowed to graduate. And he is allegedly now attending college. And somehow, this is what justice looks like? This is a complete dishonor to the real victim - Austin Metcalf. As Charlie Kirk said: “Imagine believing that murderers deserve condolences, not their victims. The divide in America is between anyone with a grip on reality, and the clinically insane.” Those who support the killer are exactly that: clinically insane. Austin deserved better. And we are not going to let his name be forgotten. We will be watching. We will be speaking. And we will demand justice at trial. Today, we remember Austin Metcalf. We pray for his grieving family. Do not give attention to the killer. Do not amplify his name. Say Austin’s name. A life taken too soon - by a culture that believes accountability will never come. We’re going to change that. FOR AUSTIN. RIP AUSTIN METCALF Born: July 31, 2007 Gone, but never forgotten: April 2, 2025

@BillAckman It’s possible due to the fact there’s two different standards of justice in this country right now. One for Blacks and one for everyone else.

This guy got famous for telling a blatant lie in October 1980 about a supposedly secret compact between Reagan and Iran and here he is again, at the age of 284, bullshitting, when he should have been run out of town on a rail for his outrageous slander 45 years ago.

“Israel moved the red line & forced the war.” Israel didn’t move anything. President Trump made the call. You continue to treat President Trump as a dupe - it’s both insulting and ignorant. “POTUS’s original red line was no nuclear weapon for Iran. The Supreme Leader agreed & held a prohibition on a nuclear weapon since 2004. The disagreement & debate was on enrichment levels & monitoring.” That fatwa was bullshit - taqiyya. Israel stole Iran’s nuclear archive that proved Iran was pursuing nuclear weapons. Also - if they were only interested in civilian enrichment, why the facilities hundreds of meters underground? Why did they claim to have 400kg of 60% enriched uranium? “The Israelis convinced POTUS that zero enrichment was the red line, the Iranians disagreed, we took out their enrichment capability w/ Op Midnight Hammer, making enrichment a dead issue.” It was only dead if Iran agreed to give it up. Instead they decided to rearm and then claim an “inalienable right to enrich.” Again - are you calling Witkoff a liar or not? Speak clearly! His account of negotiations is incompatible with yours - and he was the lead negotiator! “Iran was back at the negotiating table afterwards, this was a major threat to Israel’s goal of regime change, so they forced our hand & attacked Iran, knowing Iran would then attack us, plunging us into the war.” Again, this is fan-fiction that treats President Trump as a dupe.
