I am determined to leave the house today, so shoulder pads in, wig on and lipstick has been applied. Heading out for some crafty purchases and a coffee. I am now a false eyelash master! My eyebrows and dress came in the post yesterday.

This week has been my hardest week. I considered phoning the hospital to ask them to pause the chemo because I was in so much pain and feeling so low. Today I have woke up feeling so much better. My lashes and hair came in the post - but my eyebrows are my own! I

Currently in too much pain & far too tired to be bothering with head scarves & wigs. So to quote my son “baldy is back” . 😃 Getting dressed and a bit of lipgloss counts as a huge success for me today. Today I am editing one of our student anthologies & making video resources.

Lipstick on, shoulder pads in and headscarf tied. I am ready to do battle with chemo round 4. I am starting Docetaxel today which will destroy my cancer cells. I am a little scared of what it will do to me in the process. I do still have eyebrows though!

New headscarf for an important day. Mammogram at 9am to hopefully find out for certain that the cancer hasn’t spread and even better has shrunk. I won’t know the results today.

Facebook memory hitting me right in the heart. 3 years ago. I miss his smile. I miss sharing meals w/him when he could eat. I miss how easy conversation was before his voice deteriorated. Tip: don’t tell grievers to be grateful. Gratitude & missing the way things were coexist.♥️

ICU doc said she could feel a gust of wind this morning as I did laps. Then she kicked me out. Headed to pulmonary. One big step closer to going home.

So grateful today for enough peace & calm in our bodies that we were able to watch a movie together. Chris is no longer sedated and is stable on the vent. We will give his lungs some time to heal. He has pneumonia & Influenza A. We are so grateful for the love & support. ❤️
