I am now seriously inquiring Catholicism, Orthodoxy, or High-Church Protestantism after this whole fiasco. Modern evangelicalism is compromised & detached from apostolic faith, swapped for subjective feel-good fluff instead of Scripture-rooted truth & historic Church tradition.

Medjugorje is a special place. I can’t recall seeing such devotion at Mass. I’m grateful for the chance to speak to a topic close to my heart: raising up a new generation of devout tech soldiers for the Church to free up our clergy for pastoral work. AI is the most powerful tool ever created. We need to train master craftsmen to wield this tool for Christ. Link to speech in comments.

Big thank you to the @_Angelicum and the @TIAngelicum for the opporunity to provide the opening address at the event titled: Artificial Intelligence: a Tool for Virtue? In this speech, I critique the misleading, humanizing vocabulary used by Silicon Valley developers to describe machine learning. I argue that to properly use AI, we must reclaim a rigorous Catholic ontology and treat these systems strictly as mechanical instruments rather than moral agents. Speech link in comments.

AI leaders like Dario Amodei, Sam Altman and Elon Musk believe we’re headed to an era of super-abundance. Naturally, I welcome this vision, but what concerns me is the likely rot of the human spirit in this new age. We have to have a frank conversation about the coming existential crisis and point out the obvious solution. The Church. The Catholic faith is our only hope. I wrote this essay to explain why and what a path forward could look like. I understand it’s already proving controversial, but I hope it will at least get a broader conversation started.
