We took everything great about the original Comiskey Park (An intimate upper deck on top of the field, roof shot home runs, arches etc) deleted everything bad (view obstructing support columns, seats way underneath the upper deck) and modernized it (open concourse, views of the Chicago skyline, social areas, suites hidden away, and modern video boards) creating what we believe is the perfect ballpark. What is, hopefully, a model for future ballparks to come.

When the 2026 World Cup was announced for the United States back in 2018, I told myself there was no way I’d miss it. I was going to be there in person, experiencing a World Cup on home soil and I know so many of you felt the exact same way. Fast forward to now, and the ticket prices are completely astronomical. Outrageously unaffordable. What was supposed to be the dream of a lifetime has been priced out of reach for regular fans like me. I’m going to miss watching my country host the biggest event in sports… something I may never get to experience again in my lifetime. Yes, they’re going to make money off this massive event on U.S. soil. But the greed has gone too far. It’s ruining the beautiful game and turning it into something only the wealthy can enjoy. A World Cup should be for everyone not just those who can drop thousands without blinking. This is an absolute shame.

Seeing this live and in person (albeit from several miles away) was a bucket list item for me and well worth it. Godspeed Artemis II!

I oppose VAR, not the people who operate it.

@Sam_Phalen I always wondered what Yankees fans in the 90s felt like and now I know. Yes it’s fun. And this year’s World Series could have very easily ended in a loss so I’m glad ownership is committed to doing everything they can to win every year. It makes us fans feel like we matter.

Genuine questions I want to put out there. Is it fun to be a #Dodgers fan? Obviously winning is fun. But when you make the playoffs 13 years in a row with 12 division titles…are the joys of success not completely diluted? And surely winning with a team of purchased mercenaries isn’t as satisfying as winning with a homegrown core. Part of the fun is the chase. Is it boring to know you don’t have to watch a single regular season game? And surely losses don’t sting when you know for a fact you’ll be back next year and but even more players.

@BravesColdTakes Honestly after living through the McCourt era and not winning it all for so long, this is fun. But while everyone else is wondering how we could lose most Dodgers fans are wondering what small market team is going to end us and we’ll never hear the end of it lol. It’s also crazy

Like this can’t even be fun for Dodgers fans. You’re supposed to win. The embarrassment from not winning would outweigh the triumph of winning another championship at this point

@fuzzyfromyt Revenue sharing must be spent wisely on payroll. If an MLB owner can’t figure out how to make money or at least break even outside of payroll they’re incompetent.

How would YOU fix MLB in 2027? Do we need stricter rules on how small market teams can spend revenue sharing dollars, and do we need MORE rev sharing? Do we need a salary floor, cap, or just one? Should deferrals be adjusted? I'll be reading responses in tomorrow's Recap 📝

@MiddleearthMixr When I read the books had an image in my head. A few years later I stumbled on some LOTR figures (years before the movies) and turned this one around and my blood ran cold. It was exactly what I had imagined. Movie one is cool, but it could have been terrifying.

@AlexHormozi A previous boss of mine would say he wanted to fight someone obviously bigger and when we said he’d lose he’d always say no - “Because I’m more committed to the end result.” When you apply that to more realistic endeavors it can be life changing.

Trying is irrelevant. You have to be willing to move the fucking world. Follow up 30 times in a row. Call once an hour. Bake their mom's favorite pie. Do whatever it takes. The issue isn't that the problem is too big, it's that your commitment to solving it is too small.
