Had the opportunity of sharing my thoughts on #WaterConservation as part of Hindustan Shikar Samagam 2024 by @Live_Hindustan @ABPNews !!

I had a great time attending @IUFRO #iufro2024 in Stockholm, Sweden, meeting some old friends while making some new, giving talks, and experiencing the life in the beautiful city.

I enjoyed teaching a concentrated 3-cr course in Forest Biology during summer practicum at the beautiful Solon Dixon Center of @aucfwe. For two weeks, we all lived and worked at the Dixon Center and immersed ourselves in this unique hands-on learning and teaching experience.

Controlled Burning is an effective & ecological way of preventing large #forestfires,the grasslands of #Mussoorie Wildlife Sanctuary were burnt by us during winters last year,as a result the treated areas are now full of green grass cover,which is much more resilient to fires !

It does increase air pollution temporarily and emits carbon, however, in the long term, we expect it to prevent catastrophic wildfires and improve air & environments.
