@JimClarkTrust If I asked my dad who was the best there was only ever 1 name, Jim Clark. My dad lived to be 87 and he'd seen some great drivers but he never waivered.

Today as with every other day we remember Jim but more deeply on the anniversary of his tragic loss aged only 32. It is unbelievable to think 58 years have passed on from that awful day at Hockenheim but still his light shines so bright. 💙

@karol Please delete your stupid & disrespectful tweet. In Europe we find, bury & honour our dead, as you do. Here’s a pic of my great-grandfather’s grave. He was killed in 1916, in the Battle of the Somme, & on the exact centenary of his death I visited the cemetery in which he lies.

After 9/11 I had European friends confused that we would spend time, money and effort digging up the bodies at Ground Zero. What's the point, they said. But it's what Americans (and, ahem, Israelis) do. We love life, we care about our dead, and we don't leave anyone behind.

Fact: San Francisco airport has an anxiety therapy pig they dress in different costumes to help relieve stress in nervous passengers. We do a very similar thing here, except ours is dressed in a bun with egg, lettuce and tomato and is available as part of a meal deal.

@SaffronKim In 1976 a teacher told us girls to choose shorthand & typing as our main options because we could get a job working as a PA for an oil sheikh. Then we'd travel the world apparently. I followed her advice, typing was ok but shorthand was gobbledegook to me. Should've done history.

1972 School careers advisor: “What would you like to be?” Me, aged 14: “A journalist (foreign correspondent), an astronaut, or an actor.” Careers advisor: “Have you considered nursing?” That’s what us girls were up against.

@FellaLeeds I've had 4 slow cookers over the past 42 yrs and I love them.

I've decided its time the slow cooker got some love. Massively out of fashion. It's the most underestimated and undervalued cooking utensil in the kitchen and yet makes the most fabulous meals and I'm not having it!!! LET'S HEAR IT FOR THE SLOW COOKERS
