OPINION: The Titans signed Alontae Taylor to $58M/$42M guaranteed. He is a slot corner & blitzer who was not trusted as an outside CB1 in New Orleans. He was often cited as the weak link in the Saints secondary. That is what they paid CB1 outside money for. The only football-independent reason this makes sense is that he is from Manchester, Tennessee & played at UT. Vols fans will support, I’ll support. Just an overpay with an odd angle to consider. Draw your own conclusions about what this franchise is actually selling right now.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ To me, it’s a desperation signing with the notion that it will sell tickets. You think that’s ludicrous, but Tennessee’s attendance was responsible for ONE THIRD of a league-wide decline in 2025.

Titans fans act like trading Jeffery Simmons is an unforgivable sin, but the WORST organizations often keep one star because ownership needs something marketable to point to while the rest of the roster stays mediocre. Then the fan base gets gaslit into calling it loyalty.

From the 12z GFS-Ensembles though…that’s a pretty clear trend. What we’ll be watching from with the European is if it shows any “give” towards the GFS solution. Does it shift west at all with the new data. Or does it hold firm with its more eastern solution? As expected with a run like the 12z GFS Op, all numbers jumped way up on the Ensembles, with a 80% chance of 2”+ and a now a greater than 50/50 shot at 8”+ after it was at 26% during its last cycle!

Just rolling through some late night data. Showing last three runs of the European Ensemble here. Interesting to the members tightening up closer to the Carolina coastline on Sunday afternoon with the surface low position. Both the European and American ensembles came up this run percentage wise, with both models over 70% threat at 2”+ at DCA, and up to a 50/50 shot of 4”+ I’ll note the Euro has been dropping 8”+ numbers though. So it seems to be leaning more towards “disruptive but not major” system Sunday locally. Will continue to monitor for trends today! I still wouldn’t believe any snow map tweeted today. Things still likely to shift around the next 24-48 hours QPF wise with a system like this.
