Zephyr Arland is a character who was always going to be made by me, one way or another, in some capacity. His golden heart and desire to help others is something I want to see more of in myself and in the world around me. He harkens back to an age of superheroes that was filled with hope, optimism, and fun. I spent countless hours on his supersuit design, something that was deeply important to me and which has landed with both fans, colleagues, and fellow creatives more spectacularly than I ever could have hoped for. I've been blessed with so many people who have believed in me and in this character and the stories I want to tell with him. @Rippalorian believed in it from Day One, and challenged me to challenge myself in my writing, and the character voice for Zephyr's best friend, Ian, is heavily credited to her influence. The number of artists who have been a part of this project, from talented line artists to vibrant colorists, is long but valued. We are opponents, not enemies

You know…it’s interesting that often the things I enjoy doing within certain videogames are literally things I’d love to do and CAN do in real life. I play a lot of survival and crafting/building type of games where you create your own place, decorate it, provide the daily resources and such. I’m over here realizing…well, crap. I’d some day love to create or at least get my own full house, have fun decorating and setting rooms for specific tasks…and doing daily grinds to support it all and a family to grow within it (with a pupper of course). Then I remember how expensive buying a house is nowadays. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been saving quite a bit of money, and I could try, but I still feel like I need a bit more to do so… The problem with this mentality is that if I remain stagnant, by the time I’m 50 I might still be thinking about it, yet on the other hand…the expectation of everything crashing down soon keeps me fearing the risk and solitude. (And no, paying rent for an apartment isn’t the same). The only advantage that I have is understanding that no matter what I do, I’m just a man…and man alone can’t go far, not without our Heavenly Father. Which is who I always trust and lay down my plans for. Doesn’t mean that I’m some useless puppet, it just means that I move according to what He ordains: the best path, which is only found through patience and faith, and is often the hardest one to take… but hey. He’s never failed me. 🔥🙏 Ok, that’s enough venting from me. Remain humble, y’all!
