Enoch Burke
Enoch Burke@EnochBurke·
BREAKING: Enoch Burke’s mother and sister arrested and jailed Martina and Ammi Burke were arrested by Gardaí today at Castlerea Prison after visiting jailed schoolteacher Enoch Burke, their son and brother. Judge Brian Cregan sentenced them to two weeks in prison after they spoke out against his lies and unlawful actions in the case of Enoch Burke. Martina and Ammi Burke had been teaching in Castlebar this morning before travelling to Castlerea for their scheduled visit at 2.15pm. As they left the prison after concluding the visit, Gardaí were waiting outside to arrest them. Lies have been told from the bench since September 2022 when Enoch Burke was first taken from his teaching post at Wilson’s Hospital School and thrown into a jail cell. He refused to call a student by a new name and the “they” pronoun. He was subsequently suspended and has now spent over 600 days in prison. Ireland’s church leaders have maintained a treacherous silence on this issue. Archbishops Eamon Martin and John McDowell speak frequently about battlefields far away - Gaza, Ukraine, the Middle East - but are silent on the battlefields in the schools of Ireland, on their own doorstep. Children in the classroom are being educated in every form of sexual perversion. Martina and Ammi Burke have now been sent to Mountjoy Women’s Prison because they refused to be silent in the face of gross injustice from the bench. Parents, rise up and speak out for your sons and your daughters.

Anthropic accidentally leaked their entire source code yesterday. What happened next is one of the most insane stories in tech history. > Anthropic pushed a software update for Claude Code at 4AM. > A debugging file was accidentally bundled inside it. > That file contained 512,000 lines of their proprietary source code. > A researcher named Chaofan Shou spotted it within minutes and posted the download link on X. > 21 million people have seen the thread. > The entire codebase was downloaded, copied and mirrored across GitHub before Anthropic's team had even woken up. > Anthropic pulled the package and started firing DMCA takedowns at every repo hosting it. > That's when a Korean developer named Sigrid Jin woke up at 4AM to his phone blowing up. > He is the most active Claude Code user in the world with the Wall Street Journal reporting he personally used 25 billion tokens last year. > His girlfriend was worried he'd get sued just for having the code on his machine. > So he did what any engineer would do. > He rewrote the entire thing in Python from scratch before sunrise. > Called it claw-code and Pushed it to GitHub. > A Python rewrite is a new creative work. DMCA can't touch it. > The repo hit 30,000 stars faster than any repository in GitHub history. > He wasn't satisfied. He started rewriting it again in Rust. > It now has 49,000 stars and 56,000 forks. > Someone mirrored the original to a decentralised platform with one message, "will never be taken down." > The code is now permanent. Anthropic cannot get it back. Anthropic built a system called Undercover Mode specifically to stop Claude from leaking internal secrets. Then they leaked their own source code themselves. You cannot make this up.

Japan’s major oil company ENEOS has started producing synthetic fuel using CO₂ and hydrogen derived from water at its Yokohama facility. It currently produces about 1 barrel a day, but aims to scale to around 10,000 barrels per day by 2040.

@hubermanlab How does it work when the older brother is gay and the younger is not?

Andrew D. Huberman, Ph.D.
For every older brother a male has from the same mother his probability of being gay increases. This is thought to be due to a trace in their moms immune system that governs hormone effects on the brain. But note: it’s a reflection of more not less testosterone exposure in utero.

Before chlorine was discovered, ancient civilizations turned to copper as a powerful natural defense against waterborne bacteria. Societies such as the Egyptians and Romans were far ahead of their era, using copper vessels to purify water and copper compounds to treat infections. Today, science explains this through the oligodynamic effect — the ability of copper ions to kill bacteria, viruses, and fungi even at very low concentrations. Unlike many modern disinfectants that attack a single target, copper works through multiple lethal mechanisms at once: it damages and ruptures microbial cell membranes, produces reactive oxygen species that destroy the pathogen’s DNA, and disrupts essential enzymes by displacing critical metals. This broad-spectrum attack makes it extremely difficult for bacteria to develop resistance, unlike what often happens with conventional antibiotics. While chlorine is still the go-to solution for large-scale water treatment, copper is experiencing a strong revival in healthcare and public spaces. Copper surfaces offer continuous “contact killing,” rapidly neutralizing dangerous superbugs like MRSA that can survive for weeks on stainless steel. The World Health Organization recognizes copper’s safety in drinking water at appropriate levels and highlights its advantage as a persistent antimicrobial agent compared to many volatile chemical disinfectants. By combining ancient knowledge with cutting-edge microbiology, copper is being rediscovered as a durable, low-toxicity solution in humanity’s ongoing battle against infectious diseases.

Far out while potentially scary

Teleportation just moved one step closer to reality. The dream of Star Trek-style instant travel is no longer pure science fiction — but it comes with a deeply unsettling philosophical price. Scientists at the University of Rochester and Purdue University have achieved a significant breakthrough in quantum mechanics, demonstrating that quantum teleportation may be possible between electrons. Building on years of successful experiments with photons, this National Science Foundation-supported research harnesses quantum entanglement — the mysterious phenomenon in which distant particles remain linked regardless of distance. Unlike sci-fi transporters that magically move matter, quantum teleportation transfers the exact quantum state (information) of a particle to another location, where it is reconstructed using particles already present at the destination. While the idea of beaming humans across vast distances is thrilling, scaling this technology to living beings raises profound ethical and existential questions. The process would require scanning and destroying the original body at the atomic level to transmit its complete quantum information. The person who materializes at the other end would be a perfect replica — but is it truly you, or merely an identical copy? Physicists have long wrestled with this dilemma: teleportation could effectively mean the “death” of the original individual, followed by the creation of a duplicate. As society edges closer to such capabilities, we may soon have to confront a haunting question — is the convenience of instantaneous travel worth sacrificing our fundamental sense of self? This breakthrough brings us closer than ever to realizing quantum teleportation for matter, while forcing us to ponder what it truly means to be human in a world where identity itself could become transferable. [National Science Foundation. Award Abstract #1809343: Quantum Information Transfer Between Electrons. University of Rochester and Purdue University]
