Trump casually admits to assassinating General Soleimani, calling him a mad genius and a great leader. He then jokes about murdering the rest of Iran's leadership. This is a blatant confession of state terrorism by a sitting president.

🇮🇷🇮🇱 Massive explosions in Haifa/Northern Israel. What will Iran hit as retaliation for Israel bombing Iranian steel plants?
THE ISLANDER@IslanderWORLD

🇮🇷🇺🇸🇮🇱 Why Gulf States Won’t Join the Iran War At its core, the Gulf states’ interest in the current war is not victory for any side, but regime survival (which is far from guaranteed) and strategic autonomy. The conflict has exposed a hard reality: reliance on external security guarantees, particularly from the United States, no longer ensures even the illusion of protection. Instead, it risks turning Gulf territory into a frontline without consent. As a result, GCC states are recalibrating seeking to avoid further kinetic retaliation from Iran made difficult by Israel bombing of Iran's steel plants today, protect economic lifelines essential for their fragile hold on power, and preserve room to manoeuvre between competing powers. This means accelerating self-reliance while quietly hedging through deeper ties with China. Gulf states are broadly aligned in refusing to attack Iran, knowing a wider war would mean catastrophe and that US bases have increasingly invited risk to the current fragile regimes rather than security. Gulf leaders have little appetite for joining what they see as Israel’s war. They remain deeply sceptical that the US can or will restrain Israel from further escalation. The primary security objective is clear: keep the war out. U.S. bases, once viewed as deterrents, are now increasingly seen as radioactive liabilities that invite retaliation. Even traditionally hawkish states like Saudi Arabia and the UAE are signalling caution in spite of bellicose rhetoric, prioritising de-escalation over alignment. Uninterrupted oil and gas flows remain existential. Refinery shutdown risks, LNG production disruptions, shipping instability, and force majeure declarations have already strained budgets and complicated long-term development plans such as Saudi's Vision 2030. Short-term price spikes benefit exporters such as Russia, but volatility threatens the diversification strategies these states see as essential to their future. De-dollarisation and deeper Asian ties through Belt and Road integration, energy trade with China, and petroyuan discussions are gaining momentum as hedges against American decline and unpredictability. Strong public opposition to Israel’s actions in Gaza also constrains leaders. Saudi Arabia continues to condition any normalization on a credible Palestinian state based on 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. The Abraham Accords remain effectively in suspended animation. Qatar continues its mediation role, while the UAE and Saudi Arabia are positioning themselves for influence through post-war Gaza reconstruction funding. The conflict reinforces a need for GCC pragmatism — balancing relations between the US, China, Russia, and Iran. The Saudi-Iran rapprochement before the war reflected a clear regional desire for calm rather than open conflict. Ties with Beijing increasingly serve as a counterweight to Washington’s prioritisation of Israel. At the same time, quiet differences are emerging beneath the surface. Some Gulf states favour strict neutrality such as Oman and possibly Qatar, others lean toward Washington for security guarantees (Saudi/UAE). If the war expands, these differing threat calculations could test GCC cohesion and force individual states to prioritise national survival over bloc unity. The majority of Gulf states are signalling resistance to escalation rather than support for Washington’s war. Analysts, including former US adviser Vali Nasr, have noted the growing perception that American bases may have increased Gulf exposure to conflict rather than reduced it: “The only thing American bases have invited for the Gulf countries is risk and war.” Which is a fairly basic but accurate assessment.

🇧🇭 Very troubling images have emerged regarding the death of young Sayed Mohammed Al-Mousawi in Bahrain. The 32-year-old was allegedly arrested at a checkpoint just days ago and died in custody at the notorious Criminal Investigation Department. We have reviewed the photos of his body released allegedly by his grieving family (Grok confirmed they are not fakes) they show severe bruising, swelling and injuries consistent with barbaric trauma. They are far too horrific to share on X. Bahrain’s CID has a long, documented history of systematic torture... beatings, electric shocks, suspension and forced confessions repeatedly condemned by Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and UN experts. The regime’s own oversight bodies carry little credibility, they have served more as whitewash than watchdog for over a decade while the Al Khalifa monarchy crushes dissent, especially among the Shia majority. For all the West’s loud lectures on Iran and human rights, the silence on Bahrain — their loyal Gulf client (home of NSA Bahrain which is the base of US Fifth Fleet is deafening. The regime-change virus they launched on Tehran risks going airborne and boomeranging hard on these fragile Gulf monarchies. The people of Bahrain are watching and the old order is cracking. #Bahrain #HumanRights

🇮🇷 3 container ships tried to enter the Strait of Hormuz this morning. All 3 were intercepted by the IRGC and forced to reverse confirmed by via maritime tracking data. The IRGC statement was surgical: “Following the lies of the corrupt US president claiming the strait was open” three ships turned back. Lloyd’s List confirms Iran has now installed a de facto toll booth, charging ships up to $2 million per transit, settled in yuan. That burned hull in the video kept reigniting for weeks. That’s the alternative to paying.

#Breaking In a preemptive strike, Iran targets locations and tactical equipment of the US paratroopers and special forces gathering in Dubai, UAE. The attacks utilized ballistic & cruse missiles, and sank 3 of the 6 LCU landing ships in the port, with the other 3 damages beyond use. Russia Warns of Force Majeure on Oil Cargoes After Port Disruptions Mar 27, 2026 Russia’s oil exporters are warning buyers that cargoes from its key Baltic ports may not be delivered at all. Russian producers are now saying they may declare force majeure on cargoes from key Baltic Sea ports after a sustained wave of Ukrainian drone strikes knocked out critical infrastructure this week. The epicenter is Ust-Luga, one of Russia’s most important export terminals, where oil loadings have been halted since Wednesday following repeated strikes from Ukraine and a fire that, as of Friday, was still burning. Industry sources told Reuters that shipments may not resume until mid-April. Nearby Primorsk—another backbone of Russia’s Baltic export system—has fared only marginally better. It sustained damage but has partially resumed loadings. Even so, partial is doing a lot of work here. Together, the two ports represent a massive share of Russia’s seaborne crude and product flows. Reuters calculations suggest up to 40% of Russia’s oil export capacity is currently offline when factoring in port outages, pipeline disruptions, and tanker seizures. And yet, paradoxically, Russia is making more money. With Brent pushing past $100 and Urals crude reportedly trading near that same level amid a war-driven supply crunch, Moscow is seeing a surge in oil revenues. The spike has already prompted the Kremlin to shelve planned budget tightening and reconsider spending priorities, including military outlays. Prices are papering over operational damage for now, but there is a limit. Ukraine seems to be targeting Russia’s export capacity. President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has signaled that long-range strikes are designed to sustain pressure precisely as sanctions enforcement loosens and Russian barrels make their way back into global markets. Russia can attempt to reroute flows through alternative outlets, including Black Sea ports or inland networks. But capacity is finite, and those routes are already under strain. The potential force majeure announcement comes at a time when the oil market is already under strain. The effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz has already taken a significant chunk of oil and LNG supply off the market. Now layer in Russian export outages, and the result is a system with very little slack. By Julianne Geiger

Trump claims "we are gathered at a moment of bold action..." Please tell me he's not about to order our airborne troops and Marines to launch a high-casualty suffering ground op in Iran; an attack that would likely fail to secure anything of operational significance but result in many dead Americans... Pls.

On the eve of Palm Sunday and the start of Holy Week, extremists in Syria are once again targeting Christians. 🇸🇾 This afternoon, tribal forces and terrorist sympathisers (mainly from the city of Qalaat al-Mudiq) launched a campaign of looting against Christian-owned property in the locality of Suqaylabiyah, in the governorate of Hama, as well as against civilians of that faith. The security forces once again acted ambiguously: firing into the air to disperse the attackers on the one hand, whilst guiding and protecting them as they raided and destroyed property on the other. This forms part of the systematic violence that the Syrian Transitional Government either approves of or condones, against Syrian minorities with the aim of sowing terror amongst them. In Damascus, the Christian community gathered in front of the Orthodox Patriarchate in Damascus to condemn the attack on Hama.
