@NFLMaliik Suppose they get Lauren Betts in exchange? To me, that's an upgrade.

@terptalkwbb They shouldn't let her leave campus without agreeing to stay in College Park. She's precisely the mobile low post threat they need to seriously contend for a national championship.

Can confirm from multiple sources that Maryland is hosting NC State transfer Tilda Trygger today.

@DmVsports550 @terptalkwbb WADR, she only played 38 games with Maryland. The scoring can be replaced by a combination of a healthy Brianna McDaniel, Rainey Welson and Jordyn Jackson and McDaniel is an infinitely better defender.

In a sport where the turnover is pretty high on most teams it’s a big advantage to return as much players as possible and assuming healthy she was gonna be a 5th year player another adv, in this moment it’s a big loss, but let’s see what we do in the portal and maybe it won’t look as bad

BREAKING: Kaylene Smikle announced she will be entering the transfer portal. A huge loss for the Terps.

Tell you what: Whatever Connecticut pays Jamelle Elliott, they'd better shoot her a bonus. She saved Geno Auriemma from getting his butt whipped by Dawn Staley!

I wish I could say I'm surprised by Geno Auriemma's conduct but I've seen that movie for years. He's picked fights with Pat Summit, Muffet McGraw and, now, Dawn Staley, all strong women who give/gave as good as they get/got.

@akafaceUS Don't you actually have to play in a league before you can be called a star?

The loss of @kynwalker_24 from the @TerpsWBB roster is massive and the biggest of the offseason. She was the second best perimeter defender and the most athletic point guard on the squad.

@kynwalker_24 Godspeed, Kyndal. You did Maryland proud. If you change your mind, you will certainly be welcomed back.

@KeithMills1090 Calling like I’ve seen it. You learned well but you’re great on your own. And you still have plenty of tread on the tires. Your Sunday nights with Pete are appointment TV, though it makes me bleary eyed Monday.

@_jaynoesta Or during the Saturday press conference with the coach and all five starters or the breakout sessions with each of the six. Not during deadline.

Nobody asked for my thoughts, but imo this is a question that would’ve been better asked in open locker room after the presser. SC is the best team to ask. Blackest team, only Black head coach in the FF. Not a bad question to ask, just could’ve waited a little longer.
SportsTalk Media Network@SCSportsNow

Watch the first question asked in the South Carolina postgame, and the players' reactions. The players were expecting a question about their win, but the reporter had an agenda, and it wasn't about that particular game. Staley and the players handled their responses professionally.

I’m unclear. Why is the @MarchMadnessWBB champ game still tipping off in the afternoon? The @MarchMadnessMBB tips at 8:30p est time Monday night aka prime time while the WFF champ game tips at 3:30p est Sun. on ABC while America’s funniest home videos airs in prime time?!? 😬

@ChristanWNBA This is an interesting topic, but it was asked at the wrong time. He could have posed this at the Saturday press conference where the coach and the five starters are interviewed together and separately. To hold writers who are on deadline hostage to this question was wrong.

@Richard_Breen @SCSportsNow As a once and occasional sportswriter, I appreciate the question. But with other writers on deadline after a late game, that wasn’t the time for that question. Dude had four days to ask that in a non-deadline situation. Read the room, reporter with an agenda.

@SCSportsNow The Sacramento Observer is the African-American-centric publication for the area, so the writer is working on a feature, not a game story.

Just wondering: Did any reporter at any of the three other regionals ask the coaches or players how they feel about the women’s tournament setup or does Geno Auriemma really speak for the entire sport?

@sportsfan6718 How do you know that he is advocating more than any other coach? Do you know if Dawn or Kim or Cori aren't speaking up? Does he sound louder because he has more microphones and a four-letter network in front of him?

The NCAA is committed to the 2 site regionals through 2031. Geno will probably be retired by the time real change happens. Yet he’s still advocating more than any other coach. Thats a clear sign hes not doing it for himself but bc he wants better for the womens game in the future
⋆.𐙚 ̊.@babymarri11

it’s crazy that geno’s advocating for the every single women and player playing in the tournament, their health, and their performances while mentioning the clear disadvantages they have and yet people still find a way to find an issue with that because they don’t like him 🫩
