Going in to today, the @bball_ref Playoff Probabilities Report, which is based on 10,000 simulations of remaining games, had the Hawks at a 99.9% chance to hold the 5 seed.

@MikeConti929 That’s not true! If ATL loses, TOR wins, ORL wins, ATL is the 5 because ATL wins 3-way tiebreaker because of division champion.

The Hawks will be the 5 seed and play Cleveland in the first round with a win or a Toronto loss (vs BKN) Sunday. The Hawks will be the 6 seed and play New York with a loss and a Toronto win Sunday.

I still think Georgia would have beaten Michigan in the second round if we’d gotten unbiased officiating against Saint Louis

If the Hawks, Raptors and 76ers somehow end up tied for 5-6-7, the Hawks would get the 5 seed as the Southeast Division champion. Not insignificant as we get into the final five games of the season.
