The midfield double-pivot was the least of my concerns on that one, really. Pep kept a flat, compact four-man front to deny them the ball. Rodri/Bernardo behind. That means space is elsewhere. It's on the others to take advantage.

But Arteta should have made the changes at half time IMO . Especially that Cali one …. It would have aided our build up overall . City only had to do one thing in the second half . Move their press line closer to our box and that worked

What I have not seen us do is the manager changing tactics mid game with more risk.

The issue was the Havert ,Rice and Zubi mf being found out . Not ONCE did Havert drop deep to build despite the city attackers standing off our back 5. This is where Eze has thrive recently
