@moflatley and @donmcgowan rightly point out that KOSA doesn’t address the often overlooked threat to child “stars.” There’s lots of talk about how parents need help in keeping their children off the internet. But what happens when the parents are the ones putting them there?

At the heart of any child safety bill should be 1) funding law enforcement 2) parental empowerment 3) did we mention funding law enforcement? Kids are protected when perpetrators are held accountable.

We need a Manhattan Project, a Marshal Plan, a Moon Shot. We need a unified approach.

Ultimately, we know it's the bad actors online hurting our kids.
@MarshaBlackburn we need to continue to focus on identifying bad actors, with the help of tech companies, and give greater resources to law enforcement to properly prosecute predators.

We need to do a better job at making sure online predators don’t infiltrate our children’s digital sphere.
Instead of targeting big tech (@MarshaBlackburn), a more productive step would be to enlist the help of tech companies, using their power for good.
